This roster contains the names of individual's who fought in the battle or were involved in an adjucant service (i.e. food gatherer, armorer, wagon driver, etc.). This was the first major encounter of the Revolution in North Carolina. The defeat of the local Scots set the stage for the later victories which gave the American Colonies their independence. Sources used to validate participation are provided from over 200 different sources.
